Glossy finishes reflect light, making them perfect for smaller rooms. Sliding doors save space and are practical for compact spaces.

When it comes to your little prince’s bedrooms, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution. Every girl is unique, and her bedroom is her personal sanctuary away from the outside world.

For the growing kids at home, it’s important to balance the room with the perfect blend of sober pastels with a cheerful splash of colours. Happy colours and interesting motifs make for great childhood memories!

You can either add a decal to the wall or get a local artist to paint a design. Choosing one wall as the accent wall can bring an element of interest.

The white and pink minimal bedroom can work for most girls of any age. Since the theme of the bedroom is pink, it’s important to choose duvets and cushions in the same shade.

White makes the room look spacious, so add a white glossy or PU finish furniture like Study, library, and wardrobe. Adding various storage solutions is an important aspect for growing children. A perfect layer of lighting, elegant blinds and curtains and an upholstered headboard can help to bring an elegantly finished look to the bedroom.

This type of timeless design will grow with your child. The right Balance of colour schemes, motifs, lights, textures, and other design details can create a perfectly happy place for growing kids.

Once you are familiar with the overall approach, understand what is the trend in the market. In India, the interior design costing approach varies between regions. The prices are influenced by:

  1. Location of the property – The cost of both material and labor influences the budget.
  2. The size of the property – Quite obviously, the cost for a 2 BHK would vary from a 3 BHK.
  3. The type of property – Villas compared to apartments would need more customization and have more space, thus influencing the budget.
  4. Material Used –
  5. The level of customization desired for the interior work.

As a simple thumb rule, however, based on carpet area, for quality work for basic to mid-range interior design, clients can allocate a budget of Rs 1500 to Rs 2500 per square foot. For high-end or luxury projects, the costs can go upward of Rs 3000/sq feet. Clients also need to put in some contingency funds as shared earlier. However, it is important to keep in mind that these figures can significantly vary lower or higher depending on the detailing and client requirements.

Another useful approach in deciding on a budget would be to keep a certain % of property value as your budget for interiors. If you wish to use this approach, you may want to look at the range of 10% to 25% of your property value (depending on your affordability as well).

As they say, however, the devil is in the details. So take the figures with a pinch of salt as the budget could vary based on the design styles you choose and the design elements you include. As an example, if the property is ‘New’ and requires ‘Minimal Modification,’ a minimalistic design style would need a budget at the lower end of the range. Alternatively, if you are looking for a design style that needs a lot of customization besides various elements of lighting and functionality or purposes, then you could end up at the higher end of the spectrum.

Consulting an experienced designer who has seen market shifts for a sufficient period would be a good idea to take Design consultancy.

There is also another interesting tip that you might find handy if your requirements and budget don’t fit in well (with requirements exceeding the present budget). In that case, the project can be phased out in two stages to manage expenses instead of overall compromising to fit the budget and requirements. As an example, if you have a 4 BHK villa, but your budget at present may not meet all your requirements, you may like to keep a bedroom interior (woodwork only) for later.

It is also important to keep revisiting your original assumptions on needs, wants, and desires as the images on the internet would continue to distract you.

There are different varieties of countertops that are available in the market today. Many new materials come every day including recycled glass, soapstone, Quartz, aluminium, laminate, and varieties of graphite. Every material has its pros and cons.

However, if you are looking for a strong, durable, economical, and great looking countertop then the black graphite countertops are the perfect ones that have more performance attributes. Granite is timeless, hard-wearing and are an extremely practical choice for kitchen worktops since they hide the dirt, conceal cracks, and are not easily stained.

Black granite kitchen countertops will pair extraordinary well with white kitchen cabinets. The combination of black granite countertops with white cabinets is purely elegant and timeless. It creates good contrast and creates a stunning design statement.

Boho Interior Design

  • Bohemian interior design is a continuously becoming hot and trending style.

    The free-spirited bohemian style is about a ‘thrown together’ look. The absence of rules is the only rule applicable to this style.

    The bohemian style is fundamentally very personal. This style recommends the usage of every small and big item that has some sentimental value as decor accessories.

    This unruly design style encourages the use of Vintage accents, eclectic collectables to a blend of old and new. It also includes colourful interiors, the warmth of wood and play of accessories.

    We cannot define Boho without mentioning its earthy and relaxed vibes created by usage of Cane or rattan lounge chairs, pendant lights, macramé, cane woven baskets and rugs!

    When it comes to the Boho interior style, ‘more is more. Layering of soft furnishings like throws cushions, rugs not only adds character but also creates a cosy environment.

    If there is one fundamental thing one needs to know about a Boho-inspired space, is its play of various textures!

    From macrame tapestry to woven baskets, there are a variety of ways you can engage your visual and tactile senses and create a nomadic atmosphere.
